Elicia Villaurel
Recording Secretary

Elicia Villaurel is an alumna of New York University with studies in Data Science, Law, and African Studies, her academic journey has been marked by a diverse range of interests, reflecting a deep commitment to understanding and addressing global challenges.

Since 2012, she has been actively involved with Rays of Hope, a commitment that has played a pivotal role in shaping her passion for community involvement and activism. This long-term engagement has provided her with invaluable experiences and insights into the dynamics of community service and development.

Her work within underserved and underrepresented communities is a central focus of her career.  She is dedicated to promoting the development and accessibility of innovative and effective resources in these communities. Collaborating closely with community members, her goal is to identify and implement solutions that are both impactful and sustainable.

Throughout her journey, she has been honored with several prestigious awards, including the Class of ‘89 Leadership and Citizenship Award from Doane Academy, the JFK Young Leaders Award from TeenSharp, and the top New Jersey High School Mock Trial team of 2019. These recognitions are a testament to her commitment to leadership and service.

Currently serving as the Assistant Secretary for the Board of Directors at Rays of Hope, she brings her diverse skill set and experiences to the forefront.
